The indoor range is open 24 hours per day year-round

The indoor range is a standard 50 ft. range with 4 lanes adjacent to the club meeting hall. The range has motorized target transports to move the targets from downrange to the firing line. However, all transports move in tandem; it is not possible to move an individual target.

The indoor range is open 24 hours per day all year. However, scheduled matches take precedence on the range, so check the calendar to make sure that no matches are scheduled.

All those using the indoor range must be range qualified. Speak to the range officer about becoming range qualified at our monthly meeting, or contact him at range-officerlittletonsportsmanclub.org.

Indoor Range Rules:

All general range rules apply. In addition:

  1. Fill out and sign the log book, entering your name, time of arrival and departure, and the range condition. Note any equipment or range damage.
  2. Turn on the fan before shooting. This limits the flow of lead dust towards the firing line.
  3. No +P or magnum ammunition is permitted.
  4. No rifles other than air or .22/.22LR rimfire are permitted.
  5. Maximum handgun caliber: .45
  6. Only standard single 50ft slow/rapid fire NRA pistol and smallbore rifle targets may be used with the overhead mechanized target transports.
  7. Targets must be all the way down the rage. Targets may not be placed part-way down the range. (Only exception: Air rifle, which may place targets at 33 ft.)
  8. Do not clean up brass in front of the firing line (downrange).
  9. Turn off the fan and lights when leaving the range

If you observe anyone violating any of these rules, contact any club officer and report the incident as soon as possible. Violation of these rules render you liable to disciplinary action or removed from club membership.

Using the motorized target holders:

Instructions for using the motorized target holders are to be posted here soon.
